The Señorío de Sulco opens its doors on July 16, 1986, in the traditional Surco enclosure, belonging to the district of the same name. Its village atmosphere of memorable vines and piscos, with retreats and Sunday revelry, was the setting that generously housed for seven years the beginnings that marked the essence of El Señorío de Sulco.
Isabel Alvarez, sociologist and social communicator, together with her mother Julia Novoa, were the managers and pioneers of this great project. Women of temper and generous seasoning, they always knew the philosophy that would mark the line of El Señorio de Sulco: Recover, revalue, preserve, and innovate the culinary expressions of our country, respecting the essence of our flavors. In 1992, El Señorio de Sulco moved to the Miraflores district, where it is currently located. A beautiful view of the sea is glimpsed through the large windows that welcome friends and diners daily.
The kitchen is in charge of Chef Flavio Solórzano, a third generation of chefs, where practice rather than theory comes from family inheritance. Flavio arrives with innovation, the care and strict thoroughness that a kitchen of technique and research, creativity and inspiration demands. We are convinced that in recent years no cultural expression in Peru has more genuinely united Peruvians in all social sectors and in all generations, such as cuisine. Today it is our turn to stimulate your capacity for enjoyment to the maximum, so that your enjoyment is superb and you take El Señorío de Sulco with you in the memory of taste and in your heart.
